frequently asked questions
If you are considering laser hair removal, explore some of the questions clients ask us most often. We look forward to helping you get the elite services you need.
- How long is a laser hair
removal appointment?
The duration of each procedure depends on the size of the treated area. For instance, treatment on areas like upper lip takes less than a minute, while a medium area can take up to 15 minutes, whereas a large area can take 30 min.
- How many session are needed for laser hair removal
Most people need 6 to 12 laser hair removal treatments every 4 to 8 weeks depending on location to see results, plus an annual maintenance session. That said, everyone is different, so you may find that you need fewer sessions (or more).
- How long does laser hair
removal last?
Clinical studies show that with the right laser platform coupled with an experienced laser professional, permanent hair reduction can be achieved, with about 6 to12 treatments. There are, however, many different factors that can influence the effectiveness of treatment. Such things include hair color and coarseness, skin tone as well as hormonal changes and other genetic considerations. As such, some clients will require a few additional treatments in order to achieve their personal level of desired results.
- Where can I have laser hair
removal done?
Laser hair removal can be done on almost any area of the body, except for eyelids, birthmarks and tattooed areas. These include the following: upper lip, armpits, legs, and chin.
- What do I need to do after
laser hair removal?
Following a laser hair removal treatment, the area may feel and look like slightly pink and a little warm. Cooling gel is applied immediately after treatment that sooths the skin. It is very important that you don't shower or bath with hot water, do any exfoliating treatments or scrubs for a couple days after your treatment. Limit direct and prolonged sun exposure on the treated areas during the course of your sessions that can cause hyperpigmentation. Avoid excessive sweating and irritation to the treated areas up to 48 hours after the treatment.
- What can I expect from my
consultation?
We begin by discussing your current hair removal goals and current hair growth situation: -What area would you like to treat? -What is your current hair growth like? -What are the problems you are experiencing? -What are your current methods of hair removal? -Have you had any previous laser hair removal treatments? -What is your nationality/background? -What current medications are you taking? Once we have established your goals, we will then go over some important pre/post-treatment information that each client must know.
