Before Your Treatment
Pre-Care Tips:
- Not suitable for anyone currently on Accutane or has been on Accutane the last 6 months prior to treatment.
- Avoid direct sun exposure of any kind as well as tanning beds and self-tanning to the planned treatment areas for 4 weeks prior to treatment.
- Do NOT use any acidic products or irritants to your skin, such as retinoids or tretinoins, acne medication.
- Avoid Botulinum Toxin Type A and dermal filler injections on or around the treatment area(s) for 1 week prior to treatment.
- Patients who are undergoing chemotherapy and/or radiation therapy, history of an autoimmune disease or any condition that may weaken the immune system.
- Avoid shaving the treatment area the day of your treatment.
- Chemical peel cannot be done on patients who are pregnant or breastfeeding.
- Do NOT tweeze, wax, use depilatory, laser hair removal, or undergo electrolysis in area you wish to have treated 1 week before treatment.
- Do NOT apply any creams, lotions, aftershave, cologne or perfumes the day of the appointment to the planned treatment area(s).
- If you have an active cold sore or skin infection up to the day before your treatment, please call our office to reschedule your appointment.
- Tell your esthetician about any medical conditions you have or medications you are taking to avoid potential problems with the peel’s safety and effectiveness.

Mandelic Acid
(Red Carpet Peel)
A alpha hydroxy acid that works by dissolving the biological cement that holds skin cells together and by stimulating collagen production and promoting cellular regeneration. Formulated for redness-prone, sensitive and reactive skin, this chemical peel ingredient retexturizes skin and soothes redness for a calm, more even complexion. Mandelic Acid is also safe for darker skin types. Little to no social downtime.
